Just when we thought that the hard part was getting the grass under control, then came the digging! Little did we know that under the grass was lots and lots of stones and bricks! My husband and my father did all the hard work, and it sure was hard work from what they told me. So hard that by the end of the day, a small patch (about half the size of what we wanted our garden to be) was dug up and cleared of stones!
The rocks and the bricks were a slight obstacle that we hadn't considered, but clearly getting all the debris out of the soil was going to be a challenge!
